Aunt Pauline and cousin Presley were in Oklahoma for the week visiting family. So of course Hallie wanted to go do some socializing with the Missouri gals. We went for a visit on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Hallie was on fire on Tuesday afternoon....by "on fire" I mean that she was hilarious and the best form of entertainment. She made herself right at home at great-grandma's house...more specifically, she set up shop in the kitchen and made sure to scope out all of the available snacks. She did a fine job of turning on the charm and begging anyway she knew how....."food, food, food!!" She talked cousin Pres into some crackers, Cheetos, and cookies in exchange for approximately three seconds of lap time.....

Can't eat all those snacks without a nice cold glass of water....luckily she found her next person to persuade. Aunt Deedee was her next target.....
After her belly was semi-full with snacky-poos she thought she'd test out great-grandma's rocking chair. And rock she did. A big grin appeared on her face when she realized how easy it was to get the chair to rock.....
"Not gonna lie, this is pretty awesome!"
Target #3: Aunt Pauline. She showed off her more refined toddling skills as she made her way to the kitchen over and over. Luckily she had everyone wrapped around her little finger and Aunt Pauline fell for her ploys for food too.....
"I could get away with murder...."
"Someone put Cheetos on Meme's shopping list."
Her fourth and final target was Meme.....easiest one of all. Meme worships the ground that this girl toddles on. They make my heart so happy.....
Thursday was another fun afternoon spent with family. Cousin Brent and his girlfriend Jordyn were at Meme's house this time. As always Hallie had one thing on her mind: FOOD. Duh. Today she sampled a bit of beans and cornbread, watermelon, crackers, dried fruit, lime, cereal, and ravioli not in any particular order. She treated Meme to some very rare cuddle time while Pauline sat nearby feeding her some snacks....
After a few minutes of giving Brent some suspicious stares she decided to say "hello"....
"Well, this is going well so far."
"Ok, he brought toys. We can be friends."
She used up 99% of her energy tank by wallering around on the floor with her lamby, crawling, jumping and bouncing on the couch, and toddling around in the kitchen doing more donuts with Meme's walker (her new favorite form of exercise)
"Do we have to leave?"
"This chick is fun times...I need to see her more often."
I guess if they have to return to Missiouri it will be okay but we will miss those girls! Hallie has formed a definite bond with Meme, PaPa, Pauline, Presley, Brent and Deedee. We are 75% certain that she hollered out "Dee" on Tuesday when we walked in the door and she saw Deedee. Anyone who gives my girl food is a friend of hers for life. Food + family + fun = one happy Hallie.
