Valentine's Day Ball 2015

Holy fun night!!!

The Western Plains Youth and Family Services Valentine's Day Ball was a smashing success! In every sense. Everyone had a blast, a ton of money was raised and awareness of issues right in our own community was brought to the forefront of our minds. I took part in the planning committee this year. I was hesitant at first simply due to time constraints but I ended up having a small part in the planning of the event which wasn't too overwhelming for such a busy time of year. I volunteered to make the photo booth which ended up being a big hit!

Nanny and Papa are always up for a good time.....

It was another one of those nights where I thanked my lucky stars for such an amazing group of friends. We shared a table (self titled "The Cool Kids") with the Kirskeys, Vaps, Borings and Humphries.

I was feeling under the weather and was iffy about whether or not we were actually going to make it or not but popped a nausea pill at the last minute and put on my big girl panties. We made it and surprisingly danced the night away!

Rachelle made a beautiful auction model......

Being a grown up and getting to play dressup with your best friends.....nothin' more fun!

Bella Gets Baptized

Bella Kaye was baptized on September 14th, 2014. She wore a beautiful pink silky gown with the sweetest little rose buds on it. Quite scrumptious if I do say so myself....

Pastor Shannon baptized Bella.....

He likes to involve the congregation in such a special event and he asked Hallie to be his assistant. They walked  ( or in Hallie's case, skipped) down the aisle "introducing" Bella to her church family. It was an extra precious moment that I now have tightly locked away in my memory forever.....

Bella didn't make a peep as Shannon spoke to her and held her. It was perfect. Just like a moment like that should be.....

Blessed in the word.....

We spent the rest of the day with family at our house for lunch and cake to celebrate......

Nanny ordered this cute little baptism cake for our sweet girl.....

Gman and Meg brought special baptism crosses for the girls which they now keep in their bedrooms....

We finished off the day at the park for a picnic, just the four of us. Thanking God for our overabundance of blessings.....

FALLing in love with Bella

Oh Bella, I hope one day you know how much joy you've brought into our lives when you entered this world. You live up to your name.....beautiful inside and out. And that smile......I could go on and on about the powers that your smile has over me. I've realized that despite the best intentions I just have not been able to keep up with your life story quite like I did when sissy was born. And I haven't written you any special love notes from my heart like I did to your sissy every month. Am I making you jealous yet? Not my intentions. ;) What I mean to say it that I'm sorry. And also that you are a very busy girl who fills up my time in the evening along with your crazy sissy. Put the two of you together and you have one tired but very blessed family. While I have a free moment to sit down at the computer I wanted to tell you a little bit about you.....before I turn gray. ;)

I have a feeling that when I look back on the Fall of 2014 I'm going to remember these things.......

How cuddly you were....

How adorably smiley you were.....

How much you adored your big sister.....

How silly and wiggly you were....

How attentive you were to every move Hallie made....

How sweet of a thumb sucker you were....

How aware you were of your crazy level of cuteness....

How you still smiled even when you felt sick.....

How you loved to cuddle up in sissy's bed early in the morning.....

How you tolerated sissy and I's selfies.....

How still you were when Hallie held you in her arms.....

How patient you two were with eachother.....

How innocent your eyes were.....

How precious your soul was.....

How much fun it was to dress you.....

How chipper you were in the early mornings.....

How friendly you were with everyone.....

How much you looked like your big sister.....

How calm you were.....

How much you loved to be outside.....

How smitten you were with your daddy (and vice versa)....

How you could fall asleep just about anywhere.....

How you slept in the funniest positions....

How many smiles you brought to mommy, daddy and sissy.....

Bella Kaye Fanning,

You are my sunshine,
my second sunshine,
you make me happy when skies are gray,
you'll never know dear how much I love you,
please don't take my sunshine away.

Love,
Mommy
