G's Comin' to Town

Thanksgiving weekend ended in the best way possible: G came to visit! We had missed him on Thanksgiving day this year as he was on vacation in New York. He returned to Oklahoma on Saturday and headed to Woodward on Sunday afternoon to see his favorite girl. Dad and I snuck into her room to wake her up. The grin on her face was priceless when she rolled over and spotted G. We wasted no time getting busy with playtime. The three of us took a ride over to the park after Hallie showed G all of the Christmas decorations and some of her newer toys. The important things to a two-year-old I guess. ;) G and Hal played like crazy while I sat back and soaked it all up. She was giggling like a mad woman while they played a thrilling game of "throw a rock down the slide and watch G holler and jump to avoid it." Like I said...thrilling. ;) No really. She couldn't stop laughing and had tears streaming down her face.....

She walked up the slide and went back down on her belly upwards of fifty times and G wasn't about to tell her no so they did this until she finally pooped out....

We loaded up in the wagon and headed back to the house to get a bite to eat. G was grateful for a home-cooked meal of chili and Hal sat nearby shunning the food I'd given her as she stole bites of his food...

"This tastes like cardboard momma....give me some of what he's got!"

I should also mention that G came bearing gifts from his trip up north. Hallie scored a size bigger in one of her favorite Harley girl t-shirts, Riley has a shirt just like the one Gman is wearing in the picture above and I am loving my new gray Harley hoodie. Thanks G! Thanks for driving out her....thanks for making her smile and laugh.....thanks for the thoughtful gifts.....thanks for sharing dinner with us.....and thanks for being G.

We love you!
