Family Time's My Favorite

I have accumulated a plethora of photographic evidence over the past few days to show just how much I we adore family time. I'm not sure if it's been Hallie's willingness to cheese it for the camera lately or the fact that we have been blessed with hanging out with family for the last four days, but my picture taking finger has been on fire lately! Our family has been hit hard this past year and it's safe to say that it's shaken things up quite a bit. But what family doesn't go through changes during tragic times? It's nice to know that no matter what family will always be there...steady and strong. We've been spending a lot of time at Meme's house which made for a ton of entertainment. Cousin Aaron was in town all weekend so we took advantage of having a playmate around. Here's a glimpse into our family fun the past few days........

We need to work on being polite when asking for a drink

The girl just wants to blow bubbles, not drink

To say that Hallie was being a little stinker while playing with her cousin would be an understatement. The two were playing a rousing game of cup stacking. Well, Aaron was playing....Hallie was destructing.
"C'mon, where's the fun in that?!"
Notice the monster's face preparing her attack in the upper right corner....

"BAM!!!!"

See what I mean? Stinker. But the two did have fun throwing the ball back and forth and bouncing on the bed.

Hallie and cousin Miles hit it off!

The day of grandpa's funeral brought about a rare occasion. Eight out of the nine grandkids were under one roof. We were missing Garrett who wasn't able to get a flight home from Tallahassee in time. Of course a picture was in order considering I can't even remember the last time we were all together. Please join in laughing with me when you check out our cool pose we find ourselves in....
lol! We call this the "yearbook student council" pose

Can't have a family gathering without some free therapy involved. They always say I'm so mean. Not sure why.....;)

Riley looks spiffy everyday when he leaves for work but it's not everyday that we look spiffy together...

After grandpa's funeral we all loaded up and went back to Meme's house and filled it with lots of people. I wish I could've stayed longer but I had to go pick up Hallie monster from daycare. Little did she know that lots of visitors would be stopping on their way through town to steal some kisses. Aunt B, Uncle Spence, Presley Dara, David, Lisa and Gman popped in to hang out for a bit. She was in a sweet little mood and had nothing but smiles and funny faces for everyone. A little bit of this, a little bit of that....she enjoyed swinging her baton at the dogs, making animal noises, being thrown in the air and pushed around on the floor like a sweeper by Spencer, playing peek-a-boo with Aunt B, showing Presley her pink room, getting tickled by Dara, having a tea party with Lisa, making David and Gman laugh as she tried to step into her frog boots and playing chase with mama. She was sporting her new Joe's shirt from Aunt B and Uncle Spence....

LOVE, love, LOVE my family.
There's no other way to say it.
I thank God that my grandparents created a tight knit family.
It's made me who I am.

We love and miss you Papa.
