Papa finally got to cash in his Father's Day gift from June when we went to Tulsa a month ago for the ZZTop concert at the Hard Rock. It was a very quick trip but a fun one nonetheless. It was so quick that I ended up having to get dressed and ready in the car on our way there so we'd have enough time to eat dinner before the concert. We met Bill and Kathy at the hotel, headed straight to dinner and then to the concert. Bill was excited...Riley was too...about the music...not about the pictures being taken....
The show was fantastic....probably the only classic rock band I enjoy. The guys loved it....Kathy and I loved the crazy man dancing like an idiot down the aisle from us. After the show we tried our luck on some slots, wandered around the hotel, did some shopping and before long we all decided it was time to head to bed. They had to catch an early flight in OKC the next morning and we had an early wakeup to make it to Stillwater in time for an early homecoming game. Our wild night ended with a bag of Cheetos and some tv in bed. A couple of crazy kids let me tell ya!!!
