OSU Homecoming - Best Friend Reunion

Keeping with the theme of being a good sport I put on another orange cami this fall and toted around by little lady in an OSU cheerleading outfit in Stillwater while Riley went to the homecoming game. These baby steps are becoming a lot easier. Friends, family and fun make it a LOT easier!

Riley and I drove from the Hard Rock in Tulsa to Stillwater the morning of homecoming. We made it there just in time to meet Lisa, David and Dara in the parking lot to get Hallie from them. They had graciously taken care of her the night before while we were at a concert and had taken it upon themselves to get her cowgirled up before the game. She proudly showed off her new cheerleading outfit for me when we pulled up....

Oh snap!

Brainwashers!

Hal was reluctant to take her belongings out of their car but insisted on carrying her bag on her own.....

I can't help but laugh

The only reason she jumped in the car with me instead of chasing after the game-goers was because I promised her a yummy lunch. Yummy it was! We had a fun girl lunch at McAlisters and followed that up with a bit of shopping.....

We had somewhere very exciting to be after our little date and hurried across town to see our best friends. I say "our" because it's just a matter of time before all of our children become best friends too.....

Like last year at homecoming we spent the afternoon at Kyser's aunt and unlce's beautiful home eating, playing and catching up. Adalyn had grown so much since we'd last seen her and watching the girls interact was a treat.....

Sweetest mommy/daughter duo

Cousin Hadyn was so good with the littles and was a ham for picture time....

He even got behind the camera for a bit and took a few hundred pictures of the trees nearby.....and this one.....

The girls were what I would call beyond adorably amazingly precious as they walked around the yard holding hands....

There were times I'd call it more of a drag and less of a walk but super cute (and only slightly dangerous) either way....

We said our goodbyes and promised to plan a best friend weekend sometime soon. It was time to head back to campus before the after-game rush kicked in. We made it back just in time to meet our family at the tailgate spot. They were all smiles after a victory over TCU and ready for some food. Once again the veteran tailgate crew let us crash their party that afternoon and for that we were thankful. Cayden and Hallie picked back up where they left off last time with some playtime. Hal talked sweet Cayden into doing a modified version of Ring Around the Rosie and then would fall down and wait to be picked back up. These two are hilarious to watch together....

More brainwashing

She's pretty good at stealing chairs. And food.

We got to Facetime with Garrett!!

AND Aunt Ky came to the tailgate for some fun too!!!

Hal would've much rather stayed in the hands of her beloved Detrixhe girl duo but she had to go home with her stinky ol' mom and dad. She is just a tad bit spoiled by her DooDoo, Uncle David and Aunt Wisa.....

Shopping. Food. Family. Best Friends. A perfect day.
