Easter '14

Rewinding back to Easter here for a bit.....

I'm gonna get a tad bit sentimental here momentarily for the simple fact that this was the last major holiday we would celebrate with just one child. My sweetie has made the past four years of celebrations so incredibly memorable. I mean, come one, just look at that face....

Riley laughed at me as I taped bunny footprints to the floor after Hallie had finally fallen asleep the night on the eve of Easter Sunday. I assured him that she would love them and appreciate that a bunny had actually visited our house.

Riiiiiiiiight.

Her first words when she saw them were..."mommy, why did you tape these bunny feet to the floor?"

Ten points for Riley.

At the end of the silly bunny prints she found some giant eggs each filled with surprises. Her face. Ahhhhh, I just can't get enough of her "surprised" face....

This year's Easter dress was hand-picked by Nanny and loved by Hallie considering it was her favorite color for the week....

We had our annual Easter Sunday brunch with our church family. Lesson learned about arriving on time. On time is really late when it comes to pot luck. Ha! After we scarfed down an assortment of deliciousness it was time to watch the kiddos hunt eggs. It was rainy outside so they improvised and hunted indoors. Easter Sunday at church was fulfilling, God-filled, family and friend-filled and wonderful......

Nanny served us another fabulous holiday meal at her house, Kylie and Michael hid eggs for the girls and we watched them hunt them all down after we ate.....

Not only was it our last holiday to have one baby girl but it was also our last one to enjoy at Nanny and Papa's house before they leave town to move to the farm. The girls have had a ton of fun in this backyard over the past few years....

I'm tossing in some cute pictures from her Free Spirit Easter party courtesy of my friend Lauren who sent these to me.....

See! There's that face again!
