Farm Girls

Hallie and Carmen have a lot of sunsets, swims in the stock tank, trips down to the river, cow feeding and sleepovers on the farm in their future. Nanny and Papa are movin' back out to the farm and these ladies fit right in already!

The May homestead is going up and progress is obvious every Sunday when we go out for family dinners....

The girls are going to be driving this thing before long....

How can you not feel at peace when you get the opportunity to take in a sight such as this...

Each week I remind Hallie to pack her farm bag and she runs to her room and puts on her "farm swimsuit" without missing a beat. A few weeks ago I told her to pick one suit that she didn't mind getting dirty. One week I didn't have it washed and she kindly reminded me that she needed her suit or she couldn't go to the farm. ;)

I can't leave Bella out I suppose. Although she can't join in on the fun she sure does love a pretty summer night of relaxation.....

The girls have been spending Sundays out at the farm after church and don't seem to be too much of a handful for their gracious grandparents. What to do when they aren't playing dressup or swimming?? I hear Peppa Pig is on repeat when they come in to chill out.....

Nanny and Papa are currently living in what they jokingly refer to as the barndomineum. A camper inside of a barn. For now. The good news is it's very temporary and they get to watch the progress on their brand new home which is about 100 yards away. It's strange not having them a few miles away in town but the farm life will be so much fun for the growing number of grandkids. Nothing quite like spending time in the great outdoors without a care in the world. Oh to be a kid again......
